On that day, we reached LCCT 2 hours before our flight for check in but suprisingly, there are hell lots of people flying to taiwan with us and we queued for one and a half hour to check in. By the time we reach our turn, it's time for boarding. Our flight will be departing at 9.50am and arriving Taiwan International Airport at 2.40pm.
Our first stop of this taiwan trip is GaoXiong. After arriving at Taiwan International Airport and collected our luggage etc, we purchased a taiwan telco card from airport and start inform our parents that we reached safely :D
at TaoYuan HSR station
Inside the HSR

Inside the HSR
We took shuttle bus from airport to TaoYuan High Speed Rail(HSR) station and take HSR to ZuoYing(GaoXiong). I would say the fares is slightly above normal price but it takes only 1.5 hours to reach gaoxiong rather than travelling by bus that takes u around 5-6 hours to reach ur destination.
We need to take MRT transit and walk for about 15mins in order to reach our MinSu (Hotel). The weather that night was 16 degree and that is just cooooool enaugh for us to walk.
Along the street
with the large LCD screen
with a mini double storey that can fit up to 5 person
the minsu deco which gives us a home feel.
After settle down everything, it's already 7 or 8pm and nothing much we can do other than EAT :) GaoXiong famous night market would be 六合夜市 (liu he ye shi) so, let picture tell the stories now!
P/S: i will only post those food that i personally think it's nice and the local famous food. For more pics, please visit my Facebook and view it @ HERE!
main street of 六合夜市
the stalls
one of the best 花枝 i had in the whole trip!
FYI, 花枝 = squid
花枝 + 花枝丸
u will never have the chance to try this @ RM7 in malaysia
must try this out. i couldn't take the pic of the whole stall as the uncle don't allow me to take any photo of their stall >.<
but, this is nice!!!
foods no.2 that doesnt exist in malaysia. 炒面面包!
the cool uncle without any smiley face but he is friendly
ta-daa!!! 炒面面包- something special for malaysian
长脚蟹
octopus leg!!! woots!!! i think it's too big + taste like chewing gum
one more thing u have to tried at 六合夜市- 拔丝地瓜
the sweet potato and yam are mixed with some sort of honey ingredient and taste perfect!!
RM5 for each box and we bought 3 box!
the 糖水 just beside the 拔丝地瓜 stall. i like Taiwanese 花生糖水. they are much different from our peanut!! *drool*
综合豆花
another stalls introduced by magazine in taiwan - 烤肉之家
but i think it taste normal only. those marinated meat just taste normal and nothing special to me.
If you want to taste taiwan 木瓜牛奶, u must try this 郑老牌 木瓜牛奶. They have been doing this for 39 years and still continuing. It's easy to be recognized as this stall is decorated with many cute cute cows and note the square square watermelon?? it's REAL and can be eaten.
Us with the squarish watermelon + big cow!
很特别!!!
with their boss. She is friendly.
She call me 贡丸 and she call herself 芹菜!! :D
End of First Day. Taiwan got no late night activities besides pubs. So, we just went home and webcam with the one waiting us in Malaysia!
